Sarah Dean is a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley. Her research interest focuses on the interplay between optimization and learning, and she works specifically on topics in optimal control, machine learning, and computational imaging. Dean is a founding member of Graduates for Engaged and Extended Scholarship in computing and Engineering (GEESE).
