Program Lead: Cybersecurity Clinic

The Robert Strauss Center for International Security and Law at the University of Texas at Austin seeks to hire a full-time director to establish, teach in, and supervise an exciting new program in which undergraduate students from across the university will be trained to provide cybersecurity-related services to local small businesses and non-profits on a pro bono basis.  Students will receive credit both for the required training course in this program, and for the closely-supervised experiential course through which the services will be provided.  The founding director, in consultation with participating UT faculty and other advisors, will develop and teach both courses, while also participating in the larger life of the Strauss Center.


Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's

The ideal candidate will be a cybersecurity professional with technical expertise as well as practical experience.  The ideal candidate also will possess strong interpersonal skills of the sort needed to work with clients who do not have technical expertise or significant resources, and relatedly will possesses the capacity to succeed as a classroom instructor. Budget management, skill with client-relations, and capacity to sustain multiple project streams simultaneously all are a plus.
