On May 2, 2016, the Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity welcomed James C. Trainor, Jr., Assistant Director for the FBI’s Cyber Division. In his presentation, Mr. Trainor discussed the diverse threats and challenges that his organization faces, including emerging threats like ransomware, the difficulty of attribution, and a lack of effective deterrents for cyber crime.
