Welcome Matt Nagamine, CLTC’s New Special Assistant

The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity’s beloved Special Assistant, Kristin Lin, will be leaving CLTC next week to take a job in Minneapolis. We are sad to see her go, but happy to welcome Matthew Nagamine, who recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in African American Studies.

As an undergraduate, Matt worked in Professor Nikki Jones‘ Justice Interactions Lab, researching the intersections of race, gender and justice. Matt also worked for UC Berkeley’s Social Science Matrix on the Research Network Graph project, an interactive data visualization tool to navigate, access, and understand social science research at UC Berkeley. Most recently, Matt worked as a Research Assistant for the UC Berkeley School of Information’s Center for Technology, Society and Policy (CTSP). His personal interests include all things sports, music, and politics. “I hope to attend law school in the future, but for now, am just really excited to be here with the CLTC!” he says. “Go Bears!”

In his role as the Special Assistant, Matt will be facilitating CLTC’s programming, outreach, and more. “I look forward to working alongside Steve Weber and Betsy Cooper to grow the CLTC’s Corporate Membership Program and to help extend the center’s reach in the cybersecurity community,” he says.

Welcome, Matt!
