Mehtab Khan

Biography

Mehtab Khan is a doctoral candidate at UC Berkeley, School of Law. Before joining the doctoral program, she worked as a lawyer in the United States, Malaysia, and Pakistan. She was a fellow at the Center for Technology, Society and Policy, where she worked on the use of emotion and facial recognition in hiring. She has a deep research interest in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and the law, ethics and policy challenges emerging from new technologies. As part of this project, Mehtab will be identifying the policy and legal challenges to the development and inclusion of a diverse cybersecurity workforce. She will also examine the potential legal and policy impact of automated tools used to select and hire cybersecurity talent.
