The modern economy increasingly depends upon the continuous capture of data, including private information about individuals and their behavior. For all the efficiencies gained from data capture and storage, challenging questions remain about whether and how so much personal information should be captured, stored, shared, sold, or discarded. The Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity has launched a platform of initiatives focused on helping leaders in industry and government develop forward-thinking practices and policies for managing data at scale.
